Rizal Medical Center celebrated its Christmas Party at the Crowne Plaza Hotel last December 8, 2017 with the theme, “Rizal Med Goes Broadway.” All personnel were elegant in their black and white outfit. This party was significant as the institution also celebrated its 76th year with an official launch of its new logo and new hymn. What is also remarkable during the celebration were the Broadway-like performances by the four major divisions of Rizal Med. The Medical, Nursing, Finance and HOPSS Divisions with the MCC Offices presented Chicago, Grease, Lion King, and  Mama Mia, respectively. Among the four presentations, the Lion King entry performed by the Nursing Division was the most well-received that it won the competition. It was headed by Dr. Louise Marie D. Flores (Chief Nursing Officer) together with Mr. Samuel O. Raymundo (Assistant Chief Nurse, Specialty Area) and Ms. Karina Krishia A. Eustaquio (Director). The presentation was like a musical play featuring different animals of the jungle. The storyline of the Lion King was well presented and their animalistic costumes were amazing. The members of the Nursing Division put a lot of effort into the competition. All that hard work paid off as they won the heart of Dr. Relito M. Saquilayan (Medical Center Chief), the judge during the contest.

The competition has, without a doubt, showcased the talents of all the personnel who joined the contest. This celebration also made known to us that we, the staff of Rizal Med, work hard but play harder. It showed that we also value relationships as we create a good working environment in the organization through socialization such as this particular event.
