We view the Department of Laboratory Medicine as a globally competitive laboratory providing a wide range of Clinical and Anatomic Pathology Services to patients and other clients.

To deliver effective and efficient laboratory care services to all our patients and other clients by providing accurate and timely results, to promote voluntary blood donation, to ensure a safe and adequate supply of blood and its components, and to pursue on-going training programs in Laboratory Medicine.

A) BLOOD BANK |
The Rizal Med blood bank offers blood component processing (including testing for blood-borne diseases) and blood donation services to their patients and allied organizations, providing a safe, effective blood component. Basic Requirements for blood donors: 1. Two Valid id’s with picture (Strictly no ID, No Donation) 2. In good health (no cough, colds, fever etc...) 3. Must be at least 110 lbs or 50 kg in weight 4. Donors must be 18 to 60 years of age. Minors may be allowed to donate provided that they bring parental/legal guardian consent. 5. No alcohol intake within 24 hours 6. No minor/major procedures, dental procedures, tattoo, body piercings for the past 12 months (1 year) 7. 3 months from last donation 8. No history of illegal drug use 9. No history of sexual contact with high-risk individuals 10. No history of blood-borne diseases (Hepatitis, HIV, Malaria etc.) ** Listed above are minimum requirements for blood donation. Donors are required to undergo screening and interview (on site).
